Spore no longer showing in game library (but the DLCs are)

I was in a nostalgia mood and decided to play some Spore, but when I went to download it I found it wasn't available in my library. Both Creepy & Cute and Galactic Adventures are registered on my account - though I have no way of playing either as it says I need to own the base game.

This was a CD retail key that was registered to my EA account some time in the late 2000s (which then got migrated to an Origin account when Origin released). I can still see my profile on the Spore website that says I own the base game and expansions. In my account settings I can see that my Spore account name is linked to my EA account.

I just contacted EA support and they unfortunately were unable to help - suggesting it was a bug and that I should post here to try and get it resolved.

I imagine if I bought a new key it would probably all work fine but I'm concerned why it disappeared from my account.
