Hey thanks, good idea but unfortunately already one of the things I had tried... and that file had not been created with me
Ok, finally got solved by user Ghanja: re-installed DAI not in the default folder, but in the same directory as the EA App, for example: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Games\
So, problem solved, but what a rubbish problem for the app to have! For shame...

Does it work for the steam counterpart?

I don't have enough space to move my game into the place where the EA App is located is there another way??

I don't know why it should matter as I currently have DAI installed on my "I" drive and EA Play is installed on my "C" drive. There SHOULD be a setting within origin to decide what location you want it installed in and it SHOULD work ok....should.
I know, I had to do a repair of each game when I installed EA play to get them to work, and I had to add DAI again to my exceptions lists for AVG to get it to run as well.
