The supported controllers can be different for every game on Steam/the EA app.
If you somehow managed to get a different controller to work with a game on Steam/the EA app while it isn't mentioned as one of the supported controllers, it isn't guaranteed that it will continue to work.
If you look at the Steam pages of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™ or STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™, it is mentioned that the PS4/PS5 controllers are ONLY supported via USB (wired).

DS5 controller works perfectly fine with Fallen order, and identified as Xbox controller after enabling the Steam input. Jedi games are not the issue. EA app update is, Because after that update the in-game FPS coutner of Steam disappeared and the DS5 controller does not work with Mass Effect LE, even though Steam is perfectly capable of using the Xbox layout with Steam Input option enabled for the game. In fact it worked so great that I finished all 3 Mass Effects wtih a controller, until EA app update came and bricked everything.

Nope, it is still here, annoying me.
Hi, no it does not. Fallen Order or Survivor work with DS5 controller, although it is annoying that I am now forced to use the wired connection for Survivor, it is not the point. The point is that ea app ruins the Mass Effect LE Steam Input that worked absolutely fine earlier this year, and now, it does not matter if it is a wired or wireless connection - the controller does not work in Mass Effect.

It did not help and as you can see - some kind soul offered other solution, that, sadly, did not work as you can see in the thread.- @EA_Leeuw It would work just fine if you hadn't managed to f*** it up with the EA app, which is implemented so clumsily that it manages to get in the way of Steam big picture mode.
