Steam overlay EA overlay

When will the issues with EA games purchased through Steam get resolved?

I can neither use the EA nor the Steam ingame overlay which takes away features i want to use.

It is broken for months now please address this asap. (example game Star Wars Survivor) Remember people can refund games on Steam easily you miss out on cash.
