Summer Sale 2026 shows different discount in wishlist versus cart

Hi there

I saw the expansion packs 'Businesses & Hobbies' of The Sims 4 was on sale for € 17,99 in my wishlist in the EA app on my computer because of the Summer Sale action. When I add this one to my cart, the total showed was suddenly € 19,99. I added screenshots to this post.

I reached out to the helpdesk. They asked me to restart the app and clear the cache. I did, but unfortunately that didn't help. They suggested to write my feedback on this forum and they said the Community Manager would answer my post here at the forum. Is any one else facing this problem?

I really look forward to download and use this pack, so I definitely hope there's any solution to this problem...

    Hi there!

    I managed to figure out what happened. Because I had more than 2 items on my wishlist, the prices shown in my wishlist were already the ones where the 'stack & save' disount was on. It wasn't very clear, but when adding three items in my cart (instead of only one or two), the price of the expansion pack changed from € 19,99 to € 17,99 because of that discount.

    Thank you for your reply and searching for a solution, I really appreciate that! But I think this problem is now solved.

    Thanks for the update, and glad to hear you figured out what was happening.

    That makes sense: the wishlist already showed the price with the Stack & Save discount applied, while the cart only reflected that price once enough eligible items were added. I agree that this could be clearer, so thank you for explaining what you found.

    Hi Loubuss,

    Thanks for flagging this, and for already trying the restart and cache-clear steps.

    I checked the current Summer Sale listing for The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack, and I’m seeing it listed at €19.99 at 50% off. That said, the EA app should not be showing one price in your wishlist and then a different price once the same pack is moved to the cart, so I understand the confusion here.

    One thing I’d like to check: do you currently have an active EA Play membership on the same EA account/platform you’re using in the EA app? The €17.99 price would line up with the extra EA Play member discount being applied on top of the sale price, so this may be a case where the wishlist is showing the EA Play discount but the cart is not applying it correctly.

    Could you please confirm the following?

    • Your country/region in the EA app
    • Whether you have an active EA Play membership
    • Whether the EA Play membership is through the EA app, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, or another platform
    • Whether the price is still different if you search for the pack directly in the Store instead of adding it from the wishlist


    Please do not complete the purchase if the cart is showing a price you do not agree with. I’ll pass the price mismatch details along, but the screenshots you attached are already helpful for showing exactly where the difference appears.
