Technical Report: FC25 Startup Crash - FC25!GetDenuvoTimeTicketRequest
i am submitting a formal technical report regarding a persistent crash at startup. After a clean Windows 10 installation on my Lenovo Y50-70 (Intel Core i7-4720HQ), the game fails to launch during the Javelin Anti-Cheat splash screen.
System Configuration:
- BIOS Mode: UEFI
- Secure Boot: Enabled
- Partition Style: GPT
- OS: Windows 10 Home (10.0.19045)
- RAM: 8GB with 20GB Pagefile configured.
WinDbg Analysis of the Crash Dump:
- Exception Code: 0xc0000005 (Access violation)
- Faulting Symbol: FC25!GetDenuvoTimeTicketRequest+0x87e8a5
- Instruction: mov rax, qword ptr [rcx] where rcx is 0000000000000000 (Null Pointer)
The logs clearly indicate that the game is crashing because it receives a Null Pointer when trying to request the Denuvo Time Ticket. This is a handshake failure between the Javelin Anti-Cheat and the Denuvo servers.
I have already installed all Visual C++ Redistributables (2015-2022), updated security certificates, and disabled firewalls, yet the issue persists. EA Support, we need a developer-level investigation into why this security handshake fails on fresh Windows 10 installations.
