Hi all, I have the same issue.
If you go into: C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\Logs - and open the EADesktop.log file you will likely see something similar to the following:
These are entries of each individual "offer", aka game you have in your library.
For me, Battlefield 2042 appears to be "Origin.OFR.50.0004506" and so I see the following lines in my EADesktop Log:
So, as others have found, if a technician removes the game and re-adds it to your account, it re-entitles you to that "offer" and the EA Desktop app allows you to install it. Until then, no amount of reinstalls/app cache clears etc will do anything.
I'm waiting on some assistance with this now.

I've been stuck in a loop with tech support all day. First person told me to go into live chat and gave me instructions to do so, only I never get the option. So I reply to the email showing what happens as they had instructed me to do also, only to get met with an assistant asking for my details again and case info.
This is what I see when I tried to get into a live chat or try to get any assistance now.- 3 years ago
So I finally got through to them, explained my logs (mine have the same issue as oodlz) and in the end was told they were gonna tell their team to look into it and I'd "be able to install my games soon"
It's the same response as last time, I've been robbed of a library of games by the publisher XD - 3 years ago
@KoSMajoraThat lack of chat options is what I get too. I tried calling and the phone system stated that there was simply too many people calling and hung up on me.

I'm actually starting to think the cause of this is a mixup on EA's end when it comes to linked accounts/EA PLAY membership.
It's the only logical thing I can think of that would cause the app to be confused about our ownership of games.
I've got a few games on other platforms that need to launch through EA, but this all happened when trying to play Battlefront 2 through Epic Games.
Do you have any games you can install? For me I can install and play Jedi Fallen order which seems to be the most recent game I got on there.
Sorry for the bombardment, I'm partially hoping someone from EA chimes in and also genuinely interested in what caused this... Either way, this is our home for the time being IG.
