"There's a problem with your download"/"Something went wrong" EA app Error - '24

I've been having the same problem for 2 days that I've spent trying now, clearing cache does not make any difference, neither does reloading the EA app. Restarting the download starts at around 70% of Preparing, then changes into finalizing and displays the error. It told me to try again later but it's been two whole days of trying already.
