I tried to update the Sims 4 several times after the origin app updated to the ea app, but it always stopped at 21% preparing with a pop-up saying "Something went wrong with your download. Give us a few minutes and try again." After looking online, I cleared the cache and tried again, with no luck. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall the Sims, however, I still had the same download problem. I then deleted the EA app and redownloaded it to have the same problem still. I have tried many online solutions, such as manually clearing the cache out of the Library, booting up in safe mode, deleting all electronic art and origin folders, etc. I have had this problem since the EA app launched on Mac and nothing is working. I have opened many cases with EA help, but they all just automatically get labelled fixed and closed. I have also chatted with many EA help agents who appear to not know what they're talking about because they just refer me to articles for PC games that won't launch and then promise that the issue will be fixed within 24-48 hours, yet it's been happening for months now. Just hoping someone might have a new solution

I am having the exact same issue, I have tried many times over the past few months to see if I the issue has subsided with TS4 in the EA app and it will not work. I honestly wonder if I could request a reimbursement for the hundreds of dollars I've spend on the game if they will rectify the issue.
