Back again, because of course that damn stupid message appeared and I couldn't see anything in my library. My previous suggestion was to manually update EA Desktop. However, this time I was told the app was up to date, so it was back to searching for another solution. And, I found this:
Basically, open task manager, find EA Background Services and close. Then re-open EA Desktop (always use run with administrator) and voila, the games have returned. Hopefully this will help other gamers out there.
BUT SERIOUSLY, EA SORT THIS OUT!!!
