if you're still facing the issue try :

fully Close EA app from your tray then do this  
Task manager > Processes > EA background services > End task 
it did the trick for me

I just did this before trying the uninstall/repair solution & my games are once again showing up. It'd been giving me that error for the past 3 days. Thanks so much! I have so many Sims to check on.
