Too many computers error

I am using the same computer day in and day out to play with the EA app yet I am still getting the too many computers error. It is frustrating wasting money on a game I can not even play because of all these bugs it really is. EA needs to fix this issue.

  • so i manage to get money to buy the game then you tell me that there is so many computers although im the only one using my account !!! and you are not even telling us how much time can we wait before we launch the game this is not okay ea.

  • This has now happened to me on jedi survivor. I haven't actually even been able launch the game yet. and i only have it on one pc.

Can you define "some time" - a day? a week?

I feel like such an idiot buying another EA game. I pay £50 at launch and I'm not even allowed to try and get the game working due to a DRM system suspects ME of cheating?

    Hi. (First post 😎)

I got the same issue playing on a cloud gaming PC (windows) that has the same problems with being banned from starting the game (Star Wars Jedi Survivor).

A 10 minute chat (thanks for the quick response time on that to "Abhishek" from EA ) I got the information that it may be caused by not having a static public IP address. I guess that is a valid possiblity - allthough a pretty weak one in my opinion. I was told that they (EA) are looking into this and will respond in the forums and on the official twitter account, as soon as they have news about it.

So, here I am contributing to the forum and crossing my fingers to get a quick solution. Obviously being able to have only a few sessions (maybe keeping it open for as long as possible) per 24 hrs is simply not a "solution" by any means.

A quick update on this: still no word from EA. In addition to not being able to play the game every other day. I am also facing the problem that it simply won't start at at (no errors on display nor Windows event viewer).
This is very frustrating because I actually like the game so far. Overall it is fun to play but let me give you an overview about the problems I had in the past 7 days:
    * Patch (4?) creates a copy of the entire game folder instantly which fills up my entire disk.
suggested solution by EA: uninstall game and install again -> 120+GB download
    * Game crashes directly at startup.
Game file repair, restart of ea app, cleaning cached files = no fix
"Solution" (unofficial): uninstall game AND "ea app" and install again -> 120+GB download
    * After previously mentioned patch i can no longer access my saved progress. The game loads but continue simply "freezes" in that it does not finish loading and only lets me access the options menu (ESC). After that it is also not possible to start new game because it simply does not load the intro.
Solution: I had to create a new game without trying to access my previous progress ~20 hrs of play time wasted

I would say that there is a lot of room for optimization on EAs part (DRM preventing paying customers to play, patches causing huge download, crashes that cause loss of progress).
    "I am not amused!"
