You may have deleted a few too many files, please download and run the EA Desktop installer again: 

https://www.ea.com/ea-desktop-beta

Retry downloading and installing your games once EA Desktop is reinstalled.

@EA_Barry Barry, I've tried that several times to avail. I've tried
almost everything: Reinstall EA Desktop, Clear cache, restart my laptop. Do you have any other ideas?
