Unable to Download EA Play Games for EA Desktop

Hey all, we are aware that some users accessing EA Play through Xbox Game Pass are experiencing issues where they are unable to download or access EA Play games.

The team is aware of the issue and investigating.

In the meantime, if you are an EA Play member through Xbox Game Pass and running into this issue then the team recommends uninstalling EA Desktop from your system and then when next launching the Xbox App allow it to download and install EA Desktop.

Once done you should be able to access your EA Play games through the EA Desktop.

Thanks for your patience and we will update you with further information as we get it.

    Hey everyone,

    We've closed this thread because it's quite old and outdated and covered various errors in the EA app that aren't related and likely stem from different causes.

    If you're facing the "There's a problem with your download" or "Something went wrong" error, report it here with the requested data on page 1.

    For the "You don't have access" error, report it here with the requested data on page 1.

    If your EA app indicates a game has been removed from your library (see below), go here.

    @EA_Darko I paid for the game pass yet can't even install the games I want to play, I've tried all things:

    - Lower UAC restriction (huge security risk, but whatever)
    - Reinstall
    - Install through xbox app
    - Running as admin

    There seem to be different scenarios @FexileTV, could you let me know which one you are experiencing?

    • Unable to add games to My Collection.
    • Unable to download all/certain games.
    • Unable to install all/certain games. 

    Usually you would get to see an error message, if you do get one than could you let me know which error message you are receiving?

    The Sims 4  and all the stuff that I bought when I was on the Origin app disappeared. It didn't have anything, although I was deleting The Sims 4 and EA app and reinstalling it again. Now, I can not open a game anymore. I just also installed a free game and free stuff, but my game and all the stuff in Origin are gone.
