I appreciate the attempt, however my internet connection is working just fine. I had Origin installed once on this pc, but cannot make this new EA app work. I hesitate to believe that suddenly my internet is not working when I try to install this app, but no problems with installing any others. I did do a fresh download and attempted once again, but same results.
Thanks anyway... guess my days of playing are at the mercy of the life of an old laptop... very very frustrated, but trying not to be

Did you ever find or get a solution to your problem? I have the absolute same and I guess many other people too. I even saw ridiculous "advices" to contact my internet provider lol...
