Did I really just pay over $600 for Sims 4 and all it's expansions and packs only to have EA Beta deny me from playing if I'm not connected to internet? This is ridiculous!!!!

The EA app team has pushed a fix for the EA app that should now resolve the issue of the DLCs not being available when the EA app is in offline mode.

This will not work for me. I am stuck with no Wi-Fi on my laptop and no way to use a game I paid a lot of money for. You cannot turn the EA app to offline without being online! Plus not being allowed to play the game without installing new updates is criminal. Virtual we are being held hostage by a company when we have already purchased the product. Shocking behaviour
Hi. I've tried downloading and playing through Origin but I still get redirected to download the EA app which isn't launching on my pc. Any tips on what I can do?
I have the same problem but now when I install back origin I can’t play the sims because the migration message to EA can’t be removed
When will it be? It's June 2023 and we still can't play offline, Origin permitted it. I shouldn't have to be online to play a game I purchased that doesn't require an internet connection because I'm being forced to use a terrible fluffen app.
Yeah, seriously! I can't control if the internet goes down where I live at random. I just want to be able to play a game that's literally downloaded to my computer and won't even let me play offline due to this stupid app.
I play Sims 4 and I use a lot of mods.
In order not to go crazy with updating my game I remain offline while playing. I go online to buy new packs or mods whenever I feel the need for something new and I own all expansions but one, almost all the GP's and so forth.
Now I can no longer play offline in Origin, I have to use the EA app. Fine.
Then the app will no longer let me play my game without updating it. I do not want to update my game right now, I am in the middle of a story. Who knows what mods work or does not work right now.
I have spent so so much money on Sims 4 and I cannot remain on a patch of my chosing and just stay offline. Then I am unable to play a modded game and thus no longer interested in Sims 4.
I have bought pretty much everything for Sims 4 and I want to play Sims 4, offline.
Really really sad right now.
I have noticed too that I cannot download or install and of my "add-ons" for the sims 4. I can click the button but it does nothing. I've restarted the entire app, force closed it, cleared it's cache and still to no avail. I feel your frustration
