Unauthorized EA Account Creation Using My Email and Permanent Closure Notice

I am contacting you regarding a serious issue involving my email address and an EA account I never created.
Timeline of events:
1. [Aug 10] – I unexpectedly received an email from EA stating that an account had been created using my email address. I did not initiate this account creation. The system also sent me a login verification code, followed by another email saying that the login was successful.
2. I clicked on the link in the verification email that said “This account was not created by me.” However, instead of reporting the issue, I was redirected to the EA login page. I signed in using my Gmail account, and unexpectedly, the EA account was linked to my Gmail. This action went against my intention, as I never wanted to own or use that account.
3. After gaining access, I attempted to secure the account by changing its password and enabling two-factor authentication to prevent any unauthorized access.
4. [Aug 12] – Today, I received another email from EA stating that the account linked to my email was found in violation of the EA User Agreement or Terms of Sale and has been permanently closed.
This is deeply concerning because:
- I have never used this EA account or engaged in any activities that could violate EA’s policies.
- The account was created without my permission, and the subsequent closure unfairly associates my email address with a violation.
I kindly request:
1. Please remove my email address from the permanently closed EA account and ensure it is disassociated from any records of violations.
2. Please confirm that my email address will be free to use in the future for creating a legitimate EA account if I choose to do so.
3. Please review the login flow for the “This account was not created by me” link, as it currently leads to an unintended account linking rather than reporting unauthorized creation.
4. Please provide a detailed explanation of the specific violations or suspicious activities detected on my account, including the exact date, time, and nature of each incident.
For your investigation, I have kept all original emails, including:
- Account creation notification
- Login verification code
- Successful login notification
- Permanent closure notice
