windows 10 can’t find the EA app

I was trying to play The Sims 4 yesterday (may 17th 2023) and it was taking longer than usual to load, so I went on the EA app and it said that my EA app has been undownloaded or something, I went to go try downloading it again and now all it says is “Windows cannot find ‘C:\ Program Files\ Electronic Arts\ EA desktop\ EA Desktop\ EALauncher.exe’x” i’ve been trying to fix it for a day by doing stuff like undownloading it off my programs and it is still saying this, I am not sure what to do.

  • same happened to me but with madden23.

    1. run origin as admin

    2. sign into origin and itll install origin

    3. youll be prompted by ea popup that will "uninstall origin" where you have option to repair or something else

    4. click repair option on that ea popup

    5. ea app will open, click launch on whatever game ea app has that you want

    6. if you're like me, youll be transfered to steam where you'll launch it from there

    7. it should successfully launch

this issue happened to me after installing TotalAV and another antivirus software, i dont know if they affected the security settings that could've prevented the game from launching but its ok

    hope this helped

    ciao

How did you do it if the app isn't on the screen and only on the taskbar?
