Win+R -> intl.cpl
Administrative tab
Click the Change system locale button.
Enable Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support
Reboot
also if you uncheck the 'keep me signed in' it works without the above for me.
I last played Sims 4 in April 2024 and haven't been able to launch EA since then. I tried again today 26th Feb 2026 and I managed to get in but Sims wouldn't download at all after 30.minutes it was still 0% downloaded. I have literally tried everything. 2 years and still the same issue. I think my Sims days are over and I'm honestly so annoyed by this
