I tried opening the Sims 4 today, but on the EA app, it says an update is required. Whenever I try to update, it just gets stuck in a loop until it says something went wrong and I need to restart the EA app. I've tried clearing the Sims 4 cache and the EA app cache (through app recovery), going offline and online again (many said this worked for them), and the update is still looping. Does anyone have any solutions? I've also tried repairing the game, but that's also stuck in a loop.

since the update a couple of days ago I cannot play The Sims 4. the EA app says there is an update required but when I tell the game to update it will for a few minutes but then a pop up says "something went wrong, try again later.". I have tried clearing cache and repairing the game, neither fix the issue. I was still able to download and play The Sims 3 though. I also removed all of my mods and custom content and done the process again. I restarted the app and my Mac too. Has anyone else had this issue? how do I fix it?
