Same here. The EA Desktop app is telling me to sign up for EAPlay instead of using my Ultimate gamepass sub.
I found out how to connect the accounts:
1. go to ea help
2. logout if you are logged in
3. login with xbox live
4. now your accounts should be connected
But I still cant play EA games, but both accounts are connected

Thanks for the link MorphLoki. I dislike notifications of delays without a reason for it but at least we finally know why our games are not showing up.
