Feedback on Forum Functionality (When it is Non-Functioning)

Catching up with responses as a 13+ years on the forums vet, should not lock me out of replying after 6 replies within an hour (my notifications easily can be over a dozen when I sign in the morning). I would think at this stage verified users should not be locked out for high activity (especially when that is their usual activity). I even am locked out of posting this post, I am waiting for it to allow me to Publish...

I also noticed more issues this year compared to past years, that html gets flagged (won't post with html errors despite past/previous posts/edits allowing it), even if implemented with the in forum editor's html/markup (and not a copy paste issue), error or updating tables/lists/posts, it just locks out future edits to the table/list/post.

I also see that others have been posting about this issue, so I didn't make a stand alone post about it (just thought I'd include it in this one), but I want to mention that notices/errors are so frequent it really makes the forums not very user friendly. Especially, to those who can have high daily activity.

  • Over 4 hours waiting for review (so far), as an active 13+ year member, this really is poor form. I am starting to feel targeted (though I am sure it is just coincidence) X /

  • Ok a new one, did you guys just roll out an AI scanning tool for moderation? I just was told:

This post wasn’t published because it violates our rules. Read the Positive Play Charter on ea.com to learn more.

I read this charter, and well I am pretty good for forum behaviour at most I can criticize (usually in a fair tone, maybe a bit saucy at times) but I am not an out right rule breaker (in any forum for like the past 20+ years and 13+ years here).

At first I thought it was a belayed response to a post 5 months ago (because I didn't get a notice, when I should have, back then), but then I got a second one.

And it ate/deleted a post/reply then the whole thread (edit: wait I see the thread again either I missed it or it was restored but still missing replies even from the other user helping me), it was about how I couldn't age up infants in my game (and my frustration), and someone helped me solve it. This cannot be a violation unless it is AI and it's parameters are looking for key terms/phrases (and it caught my post in it's net).

There was a massive spam attack on the forum over the weekend. All posts had to be manually reviewed and approved.

So currently there's an overly aggressive bot operating and the community managers/administrators are aware.

If your pic had replies those would have been removed also.

It's been happening quite frequently in the General Discussion forum.

You can send a copy of the pic to EA_Solaire and please message her if it happens again.
