I Purchased it from steam. I also tried purchasing it directly from EA and experienced the same issue so I refunded the EA copy after uninstalling it. I still own the steam copy.

Community ManagerTry a clean reinstall of the EA app GorgutzWaaagh and don't log into your account till prompted to when you launch the game from Steam.
If you have MSI Afterburner running, then it is worth testing the game after you disable it as this can cause issues for some.
