Cannot unlink my Steam account from my EA account

Question

I had a chat with an EA advisor and they asked me to open a discussion in this forum to get assistance from a community manager. I have two EA accounts. An old one and a my main one. I want to link my Steam account to my main account but I won't let me for another six months. The advisor said they do not have a process that can override the cool-down period so I can unlink it sooner. They said they could not escalate the issue either and getting help from a community manager here was by best option. Can a community manager assist?

Hi there, just to clarify, while community managers are here to help with forum-related issues and general guidance, account-specific actions like overriding the Steam unlinking cooldown aren’t something we can assist with directly. The advisor may have directed you here with the best intentions, but unfortunately, this particular issue still needs to be handled through EA Help.
The cooldown period for unlinking accounts is a system limitation, and at the moment, EA Help advisors don’t have a way to bypass or escalate it. I know that’s not ideal, especially when you're trying to get things sorted quickly, but once the cooldown expires, you should be able to link your Steam account to your preferred EA account.
