Cant sign into EA App w/ 17 years old account because of obsolete email address
So here I am trying to get the Razer skin for Battlefield 6; however I can not complete the verification step in order to log into EA Connect and claim said skin.
How did I end up there one might ask ?
Well, you see, I created my Playstation Network account as well as my EA account 17 years ago, using a Caramail (now GMX) email address.
After Gmail became ubiquitous, I migrated many old accounts to my new gmail address, as you usually can do when you’re logged into the account.
I am unable to do the same for my EA account since connecting to it requires a verification code that is sent to the old Caramail address it was created with; an address which - as per GMX support team- has been deactivated because it’s been dormant for so long.
At some point during those years, I tied my EA and PSN accounts, which is how I am able to log into these forums and write this message under my actual account tied to my Playstation Network identity.
All of this to say that I can not enjoy most of the aforementioned promotional offers, because logging into the EA app to redeem them requires me to verify my account by submitting the code that is sent to the 17 year old deactivated address.
There is no other path, no way to set up either a backup address or update the old one without going through the verification process.
