Changed EA ID - Only Changed in Some Places

Howdy,

Recently discovered my EA ID was wrong, somehow it had reverted to one I hadn't used since the 2000s. Can't change it back to the correct EA ID because it's in use (by me), so had to stick a 0 on the end - **bleep**!

Anyway I changed my EA ID through the website, and the website accepted it and displays the new ID in the top right corner. However it only changed in some places, Help, Forums and EA App all show the old ID. Example in the attachment, left is the account website, right is EA App.

Have had a couple of goes at fixing this through EA Help, but I keep getting fobbed off by chat support. They tell me they've elevated the ticket and someone will get back to me, and then my case is marked as either "Waiting for Player" or "No Fix". So far I've never actually heard from the higher tier technicians they promise to forward my issue too.

Given they "helpfully" suggested I might have more luck via the forums - has anyone else had this issue with their EA ID getting glitched?

    Hey Minaithnir​ we cannot help with account issues here. Just not something that we can do as we can't discuss your account or cases with you.

    With that in mind, the best thing I can suggest is to open a new case with our support.

    Know it's not what you want to hear and if there was something more I could do I would but it simply isn't possible.

    Once again reporting back.

    First agent listened to the issue, reviewed provided evidence, then transferred me to a second claiming they could help.

    Second agent listened, seemed to understand, said "it must be a glitch" and then started talking about updating my notes and asked me to post on the forums because that is what's needed to fix the problem. When I asked about my ticket being elevated I was told there is no further elevation, that chat was the highest it could go. When I then asked if my ticket / case number can be elevated to a back end support team who do not interact directly with customers I was told they don't exist, then thanked and disconnected. 

    So basically round and round we go.

    I thought you EA_Darko​ would at least want to know the chat agents are claiming you CMs have magical powers.

    i think the confusion here Minaithnir​ is that the live support classify this as a bug and the avenue to report a bug is here on the forums.
