EA Account Stuck in Steam Link Limbo After Mistake — Need Help from EA Staff
Hi EA Team and Community,
I’m writing this on behalf of my girlfriend whose EA Account is currently stuck due to an accidental Steam link from my PC. Here’s exactly what happened:
- I launched Battlefield 2042 from my Steam account (BILLY HERRINGTON) on my own PC, but accidentally logged in with my girlfriend’s EA account
As a result, her EA account automatically linked to my Steam account.
We immediately unlinked the accounts via myaccount.ea.com and I linked my own EA account to my Steam profile instead.
- However, when she now tries to link her EA account to her own Steam account on her own PC, she gets the error:
“Your EA account is already linked to another Steam account (BILLY HERRINGTON). EA accounts can only be linked to one Steam account at a time.”
We fully understand the policy of limiting links to avoid fraud. But this was a completely honest mistake, and now my girlfriend cannot play a game she legally owns on her own Steam + EA accounts.
We’re kindly asking if someone from EA staff can help us reset or manually unlink her EA account, so she can finally connect it to her own Steam and play peacefully.
Your girlfriend will have to submit a case via EA help as we cannot make/assist with account changes here on the Forum.
