EA App/Launcher won't email verification code

I'm trying to play Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Requiring Steam is bad enough but now I discover that the EA App is also required. This of course requires a login. Went through all the setup and now when I launch the game I need to log into EA app (annoying) but the game still won't start. It want a verification code. I click the send button and nothing happens. I click the resend button and still nothing happens. Please note that I have already done this exchange successfully when I created the account. Now nothing. If I can't get this resolved soon I will be removing the game and requesting a refund since it is not working.

    Hi Darko,

    Thanks for the link which I reviewed. I tried the authentication again however this time it worked. I'm guessing the AE server was down or had connectivity issues as nothing has changed on my side.

    If you have a link on how to contact the live support team I would appreciate this information should I run into problems in the future.

    A little off topic, but I accept Steam (and its huge footprint) as a condition to play games I purchased from them. I was not happy to learn that Mass Effect also requires the AE application - Steam is more than enough, especially since it is sharing all the information it is gathering from my computer. I don't like un-needed apps on my PC. Is this typical of other steam games? If so I will be limiting future purchases to GOG.com and other similar sites.
