Forum Discussion
Although not related to this month’s focus on phishing,I wanted to post this as I felt that it was related to security safety overall. In The Sims 4 we are currently doing a quest event called “Lost Legacies”. In one of the weekly tasks, the Royal Envoy, who is the main sim involved in the event, leaves her mobile phone in a bin, for anyone to find and look at the content of messages that are on it. What I have found encouraging is that many simmers when they have been posting about the event, have posted about her not taking many security precautions and lacking in safe security awareness and practices. It made me feel that in the midst of playing an event, it made simmers react to and assess her lack of security knowledge and at the same time stop and think about their own steps of keeping private data secure and safe. It was a reminder to us all, in the midst of an unexpected time whilst playing the game. Often we get little reminders to be security wise just as we are going about our everyday lives too.
