ea live chat isn’t working for me
Hi. I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong.
I have an old disabled ea account linked to my PlayStation and no longer have access to the associated email address
When I go to the start chat button from ea help, then fill out all details, it creates a case number, emails me and redirects to page waiting for advisor but no chat pops up. I usually wait minimum 15 minutes and nothing changes
I have tried many times now over last few days on pc, iPhone and Samsung but none worked. I noticed on other threads yous have recommended google chrome incognito, and also not signing in. I have also tried these.
is it because I’m from Australia? I have tried at different times of day and I have good internet connection.
Hi all. Final update: issue solved
It appears live chat ( at least in my area) was down/not active for about 1 week for when I was trying to use it. It was not just me as I got couple of friends to try for me as well and they couldnt connect either. Yesterday I noticed the image of the chat button has changed and now has an estimated wait time underneath (as it does on the help article pictures). Without changing any settings, I tried again and was connected within a few seconds.
The analyst was very helpful and had fixed my account issues within 5 minutes.
I had also from the beginning tried the email help option, of which took 6 days to receive an unhelpfull automated computer response. And although i immediately responded, was delayed by 24hs beween replys. I would not recommend this option!
Overall this was an extremely frustrating and painful experience for what ended up being a very quick and easy fix. I was able to purchase battle field 2042 (at full price) and download in less than 4hrs, only to have to wait over a week to be able to play it. Annoyingly the reason I purchased the game was because I was on a work trip away with some friends for a week that wanted to play the game with me. That opportunity has passed before the problem was even solved.
