Email | Unlink accounts
This EA account I'm currently using was hacked. The username isn't mine. The email isn't mine. The phone number isn't mine. Even the two-factor authentication isn't mine.
I know that probably sounds unbelievable, especially since I’m the one making this post—but hear me out.
I originally purchased Xbox Game Pass using my Xbox account. When I tried to play F1 2024, which requires an EA account, I was prompted to log in. I entered my information but was stopped because it was incorrect.
I went online to recover the password, but that didn’t work. So I tried to create a new EA account using my Xbox login. That’s when I was signed into this account—an account that was clearly originally created by me but had since been altered. The username, email, phone number, country, etc., had all been changed.
I submitted a support ticket asking for help, but because none of the account details matched mine, they couldn’t assist. I opened another ticket and provided all the visible information from the account, but it still wasn’t enough. I asked for the issue to be escalated, but it felt like EA support just didn’t care.
I can literally record proof of myself creating an EA account using my Xbox login, which has two-factor authentication and the purchase history for Xbox Game Pass.
Ultimately, I just want my Xbox account unlinked so I can relink it to a new EA account—or ideally, get this original account back. Someone, please help.
I just need someone that would take the time to seriously look & investigate this.
Those people would be the support team. You would need to reach back out and speak with them for any issues related to accessing an account as they're the ones able to make changes.
If they aren't able to verify the account owner with the information you have however, unfortunately there would not be a way to recover the account. For security reasons, there are certain things that need to be verified before any changes can be made to an account.
You're welcome to reach out to support again if you can recall or locate any other information, but I'm afraid this wouldn't be a step that can be bypassed.
