Hi elbell2001 & PurpleSweetTart,
Just to clarify, EA does have live chat. Depending on the product and subject selected, the option might not appear. If the option is not currently available for you, please try selecting "EA Account" as a product, click on "see all topics", and then "I want to update my EA Account information." That should give you the option to start a chat.
EA_cuervoI know you have live chat. However, the issue the original poster was having is that there is no way them to prove their case about buying the game because they bought it so long ago. Which is perfectly understandable. See this line: "They requested an invoice for a purchase I made a decade ago as "proof", which I've finally found." First of all, they are very lucky to have found that all of those years later. It reminded me of years ago when you could not return an item unless you had a receipt. Now, people have accounts where a company can look up things like this, which they did, but running around a house looking for a receipt from a game released it 2011, seems very difficult. What I meant when I replied was you can't dial a phone number and talk to a person. I posted what I did because whenever I've had a problem, they just tell me to go to Twitter/X and post it. But I have never gotten a response, so I was just making sure they knew to manage their expectations based on past customer support history.
As of Wednesday, April 9, 2025 6:23 AM EDT, there are reports that submitting tickets and responding to tickets is bugged so even if a person didn't know there was live chat and submitted a ticket, there would be a longer wait time.
