How to get EA to actually do something?

Hello!
So my Microsoft Account email was changed about 5yrs ago (gamertag is still the same)

My EA account no longer reflects being attached to a gamertag for xbox, and when I try to re-link it.. the EA site references my old "@live.com" email, which no longer works as I changed my email address to "@outlook.com" due to the @live.com getting a ton of spam thanks to a data breach.

Anytime I try to chat with EA about it, they try to email the @live.com address (my EA login is my gmail btw), and the @live.com no longer exists.

How can I actually get EA support to understand i'm not trying to recover my account, i'm just trying to re-link the SAME gamertag that's now attached to an @outlook.com address.

It's a 20% chance I can even get the option to chat with a rep, and when I do.. they just tell me there's nothing they can do? EA's systems should be smart enough to see the same gamertag is attached to the new MS email.

Any help would be great!

Hey furruck situations like this can be a little tricky.

When you spoke with our live support team what did they advise you?

The more info that you can share with us the better we can help you.

When you updated your account details did you update them on the EA side?

All they said was "sorry we cannot recover your account" and promptly ended the chat.

They asked me for my EA Login (works), receipt of recent purchase (sent as PDF), then told me because the @live.com email does not exist anymore they were closing the ticket.

I can access my EA account just fine, I just need to have the ability to re-link my Microsoft account to EA and it's the same gamertag as the @live login they have associated with my account.

You would think EA's server's would just verify the gamertag is the same and proceed.. as email logins for MS do change from time to time.

It's not what i'd call "sticky", just more like incompetence on EA's part with the support. It's just a scenario EA's programmers did not anticipate and should be able to be escalated via ticket to someone with a brain and the authority to use it and fix the issue.
