I cant disconnect my Steam account from an account that doesn't exist

Basically my steam account is connected to my old email on this account, therefore it doesn't let me unlink it because when I log on with my old details it redirects me to my current account where I'm not connected to steam. I've tried everything i can so far, any help would be greatly appreciated i just wanna play with my friends on battlefield
