Same problem for me with my PlayStation account I already have for ~10 years (The old one wasn't used for 15-20 years). I already contacted support through EA Help many times. My case is escelated after live chats but then I only get an automatic email with links that don't help me. I don't want to make a new  EA account, as I have spent quite some time and money on my current EA Account
