My Xbox linked account(s) are blocked

The emails associated with my Xbox gamer tags are disable and blocked.  

First question ..... WHY

Second question ..... how do we un-link there and re-link to a new email address (EA account)?

 

 

  • If the linked email account domain has changed to "@disabled.ea.com", then it often suggests that the account has been made dormant. 

    It'd probably be worth opening a case at help.ea.com so a support agent can investigate for you. You could also try requesting a new password using the email linked to your EA Account, as that might activate it again (this is not guaranteed though).

    Hi there. We don't have any insight into your Xbox account so we couldn't tell you why they blocked your accounts. As far as unlinking goes, we have an article here with information on that.

    Well , this is the message I get when I try to link the account.  NOTE the a8*****@disabled.ea.com email address.  Neither I nor Microsoft would have created this I assume.

    Linked Accounts Found

    Your accounts can’t be linked because your Xbox account Rick4 already linked to your EA Account for a8*****@disabled.ea.com. An EA Account can only be linked to one Xbox account in its lifetime.
