I need help unlinking an old EA account from my current xbox gamertag. I no longer have access to my old email tied to my old EA account because it was a university email (.edu) that i no longer have access to. Please help. EA support has been no help and im not sure how to clear my current xbox gamertag to play future releases. the whole process has been painful and support has brought me zero help.
This is such BS. I'm in the same situation. My xbox GT is linked to a very old EA account (2012), which I don't have access to anymore because of an old email. When I reached out to the support they said that there's nothing they can do if I don't have access to my old email.
I later accepted my fate and created a new EA account so that I can start this all over again after a decade of time and money spent on previous games. But then... It's apparently not possible to LINK my new account to my xbox GT because they only accept 1 linked EA account at a time. Which means I need to gain access to my old email to be able to unlink it from my xbox GT. Wtf??
My old email is a fkin ghost ship roaming around without a captain since over a decade ago. How am I even supposed to solve this?? The EA support is really bad. I didn't even know this before now.

unfortunately, you will have to contact Support again, as they're the only ones who have access to account information and can help with verifying an account/changing the e-mail connected to it.
