PS5 Online Modes Not Working After EA Password Change

Hello EA Support,

Yesterday I changed my EA account password. Since then, I cannot access Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs on PlayStation 5. The game shows a connection/server error message.

Important details:

- The same EA account works normally on the PS4 version.

- My internet connection is working fine (tested on different Wi-Fi and mobile 5G).

- I already cleared the PS5 cache and rebuilt the database.

- I restored game licenses on PS5.

- I unlinked and relinked my PlayStation Network account from my EA account.

- I logged out and started a new session on PSN.

It looks like the PS5 authentication token or account profile is desynchronized after the password change.

Please reset my PS5 authentication token and online profile (Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs) on your backend.

Thank you for your help.

Hey FhelipeMK4 that's an odd one.

When you try to play on PS5 what happens, is there an error message every time?

Can you share the full error so that we can take a look.

Have you spoken with PSN support to see if there is an issue on that side that they can see?

Hello EA_Darko , how are you?

The only message that appears is this: when I enter the game and go to the Pro Clubs section, it shows that I am connecting to the EA server. After that, a message appears like the one in the video I sent, which says “Checking Connection,” and then the message from the screenshot appears.

However, with the same account on the same console, I can access and play the PS4 version normally.

I saw somewhere that some players reported this same type of issue after changing their password on the EA server. Some of them were unable to play the PS5 version for 24, 48, 72 hours, or even up to 5 days due to a broken authentication token.

However, I’m not sure how accurate that information is. The fact is that I can play normally on the PS4 version, but I cannot play on the PS5 version.

    I have already tried:

Using a wired connection (LAN cable)

    Wi-Fi

    Neighbor’s Wi-Fi

    Mobile 5G hotspot

    DHCP connection

    PPPoE connection

    Restoring licenses

    Clearing the PS5 cache

    Rebuilding the PS5 database

    Reinstalling the game

    Deleting the EAFC26 profiles

Unlinking my PS5 account and linking it again

But nothing has worked on the PS5 version.

Hey FhelipeMK4 have you spoken with PSN support about this to ensure that there is nothing on that side that could be causing issues.

No, because on the same console using the same account on a PS4 version, I’m able to play without any issues.

So to me, it wouldn’t make sense for it to be a problem on the PlayStation’s side.

Yes, I have already checked this with PlayStation Support and they confirmed there are no issues on their side.

PSN is fully operational and other online games work normally on my PS5. Additionally, on the same console and using the same EA account, the PS4 version of the game works without any problems.

The issue started immediately after I changed my EA account password. Since then, I cannot access Ultimate Team or Pro Clubs on the PS5 version.

    I have already:

    • • Cleared the PS5 cache
    • • Rebuilt the database
    • • Restored game licenses
    • • Unlinked and relinked my PSN account
    • • Tested different internet connections

Because the PS4 version works and PSN is functioning normally, this strongly suggests a PS5-specific authentication/token desynchronization after the password change.

Could you please escalate this and check/reset my PS5 authentication session and account flags on the backend?

    Thank you.

    HiEA_Darko ,

    Thank you for the clarification.

Understood. Since this appears to be an account-specific authentication issue that started immediately after my EA password change, I will contact Live Support as advised.

    I appreciate your assistance.
