Sending a LoD notice
Hello,
I was wondering about a legal matter, I have been working on a lengthy Letter of Dispute and I'll be able to send it away in the coming week. What I was wondering about is, according to information available online, EA also has an office in Switzerland with a potential legal department (?) attached to it. I'd like to know which office should I send the letter to, Redwood City (Main Office) or the Swiss office? I myself am a resident of a European nation.
I would like to take a moment to issue another shoutout but not towards the ToS team specifically this time but to the Electronic Arts as a whole - the way the help site is, the advisors being human but in reality being just a bit shy of short of some humanoid robots who spam canned messages in live chat and lack basic understanding of sentences and context in general. Constant site errors, EA hiding sanctions from Penalty History, then telling to "appeal to ToS" but then I can't appeal at all due to them hiding the sanction in the first place. Advisor > Make an appeal > Can't make an appeal > Contact Advisor on not making appeal, send photo evidence > [Canned message] How to submit an appeal via My Penalties Section, I say it's not there and I already sent you an image of that > Error 404 > Please submit an appeal, only ToS can handle it > Advisor > Rinse and repeat the cycle. EA seems to be the only large publisher that seems to specifically, by deliberate design, pursue a policy to make any consumer interactions as hollow and hopeless as its humanely possible to imagine. There's no meaningful customer support, the people that work under the EA tag as advisors just repeat canned messages at best and I'm sorry for being blunt but they seem to be outsourced from a 3rd world nation which could very well be a side gig for a scam call center. How does this company actually manage to operate, I don't even mean it in any negative way - I am genuinely curious to know, be a job shadow to someone. Anyway, the only question that matters now is who gets my letter, but for good measure I suppose I could also send to both office and with EA in mind, the two offices are two secluded spaces and teams that don't interact with each other. Just like Privacy team doesn't interact with ToS team, Customer Relations team has never seen anyone or anything that relates to ToS team and all other possible combinations.
Would appreciate an answer nonetheless. Thanks.
Kind regards,
cquentino
