Still ethical to play ▶ the game & or update?

First off, I am not judging anyone who still decides to monetarily support the game moving forward. I however am wondering if from a moral or ethical point; for people that are disappointed in the current events that have transpired, if... it's still technically considered still wrong to play the game? If you're not continuing to buy anymore packs, or kits?

  • boganoba  I don't see how it would be ethically wrong to play a game you've already bought.  No matter how you feel about new developments, you're not handing over more money, and your playing or not doesn't affect anyone other than yourself.  And if it's a question of your online playtime perhaps sending the wrong message, what better message to send than that you won't buy new content for any reason even though the game itself still holds your interest?

You can like what you like without guilt as long as you're not furthering a cause or practice you think is problematic.  We're not talking about your finding out after the fact that the game was created in a way that exploited someone or otherwise caused harm you didn't know about at the time.

Besides, the projects that made the content you own are already completed, and the people who worked on that content are not management and have no decision-making power at the corporate level.
