The EA account linked to my PS account is disabled

 I brought battlefront 2 on my ps5 and went to play so went to link my EA account to my PS account but it says there is already a EA account linked. 

The linked EA account is disabled and has a (hidden) email address I do not recognise therefore can't reset the password, so I cannot get access to it to unlink my PS account and add my actual EA account. 

It is probably an old EA account or a friend's account from when I was using my PS3 over 10 years ago. 

How can I unlink the old EA account to my PS account? PS live chat was no help, saying it has to be through EA. So I made a case on EA website but no response and doesn't look active, not sure if it is working or not.

    That is exciting news for them it sounds like. It makes me happy that it sounds like EA tries to help people in  that regard. I know many companies will not, including the one I work for. It is just the worst thing to have to tell someone they've lost their account, and even worse when I see multiple contacts and advisors just don't do their jobs because they don't want a bad review or to get yelled at. Even when people are mad I find they still appreciate not being yanked around. Thank you for educating us about this :)

    EA is notorious for having the worst customer support. Can't contact anybody and the only support offered is bots with generated answers. It's no wonder EA is tanking.
