Thousands of Customers accounts Disabled - Silence

I had this issue a couple years ago trying to go back and play bad company 2.

I had changed my Steam account email so when trying to log on to EA with Steam it asked to verify the email address I had already closed years prior and wouldn't let me do anything so I eventually stumbled on a way to Unlink the account, from there this situation has only turned into hours of confusion. To me this is nonsense.

I've tried creating new EA accounts to link to my Steam and anything else you can think of and from what I can gather my Steam account (which has not been compromised, never been banned in any way, never was banned on EA ever) can never be linked to a EA account again?

I feel like this need a reported to like an EA engineer or something, there must be thousands of people with this issue by now. Top it off I've been trying to get through to EA support for DAYS and can't even get as much as a confirmation email that my support request was received.

That's a sign something is very, very broken. A company so worried about security it has thrown customers overboard. I will for no reason whatsoever buy games through EA, I game on Steam and only Steam. You want my money then this needs to work better in the future.

I have a beta code for BF6 and can't even get in to games I've already paid for.

    This company, this game, needs to fail. It needs to fail. It needs to fail. Get this swine **bleep** scum out of our lives and industry for good and for all time.

  • I’m in the same boat. Brand new account just linked to steam and insta banned. Can’t un link and now can’t play any ea titles.

    Thank you for pointing it out, you can also add me and 11 others i know to that list, i have a group of mates that have given up already and said they will not be buying battlefield 6 :( that sucks as we were all keen to try something new other then Call of duty and this encounter in efforts to resolve this issuse has left us all broken/angry/tired/feedup/ from this experience.

  • Same here.  Used a BF6 access code for open beta early access and now I'm in this position.  The access code somehow kicked off some unknown email linking, and despite my PSN account and EA account being the SAME EMAIL... there's some new, unknown email in the middle linking them.  

    Tried making support tickets with 186 min queues just to have them jump in for 1 min (when I'm not monitoring it like a hawk of course) and cancel the chat session.  Completely terrible customer service and now EVERY game (BF6, BF2042, etc.) are unplayable online. 

     

    Edit - EA_Edu​, EA_Groguet​, EA_Garrus​ or any other community manager, can we please get some help here? Is there literally anyone at EA that cares with the launch of games like BF6 and the terrible customer experience many of us are having? How can we not reset our own emails and linked accounts in 2025? 

  • same here, no way of unlinking these deactivated accounts...the linking only one account thing is so broken hope we get some answers soon.

  • Everyone is having the same issue. I have a disabled email attached to my account. Sit on chat for 180 minutes and can’t get through. This is absolutely crazy.. I’m convinced there’s like 3 people who work for EA how do they not have this fixed

    Same boat, I've already refunded my preorder through Steam, ill just enjoy the game this weekend and wait for the next big thing!

    I just created a new EA account for the time being though, and linked it to my Steam account hoping for some support. I made a case about the whole thing and they "resolved it" with zero communication. When I tried to resume it, it said their advisors cant offer any support on this subject. oof
