We don't have any info around this that we can share right now Flyinfish2 but if there is a legal requirement for it to be in place then it is likely that it something that may be introduced.

Thanks. I'm really surprised that EA haven't already implemented something already tbh.
The law is two years old and the guidelines have been out for 8+ months, while age verification/moderation rules have been active for the past few weeks. EA haven't made any statements or given any info on changes, and now they are possibly maybe in violation of both the user-to-user and age-verification sections currently across a bunch of new and legacy games.
I know it's such an ill-thought out law in the first place, but I also don't want the uppity regulator to start slapping colossal fines or banning services, and end users paying for it or being stopped from playing games they've paid for (or pre-ordered) because requirements suddenly change. Plus I'm worried about a rushed last-minute implementation from EA that prevents those who can't verify for legit reasons from playing, like some social media have done (not everyone has a passport/ID or can pass AI biometric checks etc) :(
