Unable to recover my EA account – Support repeatedly rejects verification

Hello EA Community Team,

I am looking for assistance with an unresolved EA account recovery issue.

I lost access to the email address currently associated with my primary EA account because the email provider discontinued its service. As a result, I cannot receive the two-factor authentication codes.

I have contacted EA Support and provided multiple pieces of evidence, including:

  • The original registration email and the subsequently updated email address.
  • My registered phone number and security question.
  • My linked Steam account details and proof of ownership.
  • My EA game library and available purchase records.

However, my recovery request was rejected with a generic response stating that some information was incorrect. When I asked which information failed verification and whether additional evidence, such as Steam purchase receipts, could be accepted, the advisor refused to provide specific guidance.

The advisor also stated that the case could not be escalated and advised me to contact support again.

My previous case reference is available upon request.

There is another issue: my attempts to contact support through other accounts have also resulted in cases being closed without meaningful communication. This makes it extremely difficult to pursue the recovery process.

I am not asking anyone on this public forum to disclose security procedures or modify my account directly.

I would simply like to know:

  1. Is there a way to have my account recovery situation reviewed by someone with the appropriate authority?
  2. Can EA Support provide a clear list of acceptable alternative evidence when the registered email address is permanently inaccessible?
  3. Is there an appropriate channel to report cases being automatically closed or support contact options becoming unavailable?

I am willing to provide any additional legitimate evidence required to prove ownership.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

I would like to propose a practical way to verify my account ownership.

I know my EA account password and have full control of the Steam account linked to it.

Could we arrange a specific time for me to initiate a login attempt through Steam while an advisor checks the corresponding authentication records on EA's side?

You should be able to check whether the login request comes from my linked Steam account, which EA account it is associated with, and whether the authentication process is blocked specifically by the two-factor verification code sent to my inaccessible email address.

I am not asking you to bypass two-factor authentication. I am simply asking you to use this real-time login attempt as additional evidence of account ownership.

This would provide verifiable evidence from EA's own authentication records rather than relying entirely on information I provide manually.

    Hey Finger1702,

We're not able to set up any alternative verification methods here, sorry. You'll need to get back in touch with the support team to see what other options they may have available, as they'll be the only ones able to review and verify your account details in order to make any changes.

You can resume a previous case from your case history page to get back in touch with the support team, but we can't make any changes here.

If standard verification fails, is there any escalation process for cases where the original email provider is permanently unavailable? If not, does this mean that an EA account can become permanently unrecoverable even when the original owner can provide substantial alternative evidence?
