Community ManagerBit of an odd one gemccallen, if you have spoken with our live support team and they have said that they cannot help then I'm sorry to say but it is unlikely that we or anyone else can change this.
All I can suggest is to take a look at this help article and try the steps suggested.

EA_Darko they suggested I reach out here for development to possibly do something. I just need the initial validation email resent or send a new one.

Not sure why they suggested that gemccallen unless they were hoping to have you submit a bug report.
We cannot assist with account issues here as we are not able to verify account ownership on the forums.
Best thing I can suggest is to speak with our support again, explain the situation and see what can be done.
