Just to clarify, in order to make changes to an EA account (like unlinking it from your PlayStation) you must pass EA account verification, not PlayStation account verification. Even if you can prove ownership of your Sony account, EA Support still needs to confirm ownership of the EA account itself for security reasons.
I know this can be tough, especially if the EA account is old or tied to an inaccessible email, but these steps are in place to protect user data.
