Why does EA not protect minors?
Tonight while playing BF6, the first chat entry as the match began was clearly someone trying to find any child players the age of 12 in the game so that they could be "friends". The language was clearly an adult typing, not a child. The conversation was reported, yet EA just closed the case, saying no violation of community standards was found. I would like someone at EA to draw the line in the sand when a potential pedophile's conversation is inappropriate. The user claimed "it was just a joke". Well, if that is true, then the person KNEW the conversation was inappropriate. EA, though, didn't see anything wrong with it. I got the usual "we closed your case, now go on your way" email. I am very upset about this, because EA took no action against something that was extremely inappropriate and targeting minors. I couldn't do a screen grab of the conversation, and when the game ended, the user's name had been redacted so that I couldn't record it. EA just closed the case like it never happened. In a world where pedophiles prey on innocent children, this company just turns a blind eye to it. Why will EA not take a stance and protect minors from what is clearly grooming conversation in a chat? At what point does it have to become blatant enough to do something against an account? What is the criteria for EA to actually take something seriously? What is issue where the people reviewing the conversations don't quite grasp what is being said?
