Your accounts can’t be linked.

Hello, I have been in contact with EA support about my case, but suddenly the case is closed and I have got no feedback.

My issue is that I had a XBOX Gamepass account with a email address that got hacked and stopped working as a login email to Gamepass. I changed the email and got a new gamepass login/user, but now I can´t connect my Xbox account to the EA Play app because it says that only one email ever can be connected to it.

Is there anyone that can help me with this, it´s frustrating because there are so many EA games I want to play on Gamepass.

"Your accounts can’t be linked because the EA Account for tu*****@outlook.com was previously linked to the Xbox account for Turbotraktor508. An EA Account can only be linked to one Xbox account in its lifetime."

    Hey there,

If you had a different Xbox Account linked to your current EA account, you will not be able to link a new Xbox account. However, you can create a new EA account and link your Xbox account there and that should work without any problems as the new EA account should link correctly to your Xbox account. For further information on how to link your accounts, please see: Linking your platform accounts to your EA Account

Tell me how is your statement a solution?! It's not. Why should someone recreate a new EA account and lose the games that they purchased and have tied to their old account.

I beyond frustrated with the poor execution of just trying to link my son's Playstation account to his EA account so he can play with his friends. Due to this permanent and purposeful disconnect/unlink applied by EA, we cannot ever get him connected again when it was erroneously connected to my account as I tried to provide oversight to my son's online activity.

I realize the only oversight that I will now be providing for EA related activity is not spending a single dime with such a lousy company.

Try harder for the gamer, not the stock holders.

    Hey there,

These restrictions are in place to help you keep your account safe as there are risks associated with unlinking accounts. You can learn more about the risks here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/unlink-gaming-accounts-from-ea-account/

When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your in-game progress won’t transfer over.

That means you’ll permanently lose access to:

    • games and game progress
    • DLC, expansions, and anything extra you have for your game
    • memberships and subscriptions
    • in-game purchases.

If you unlink your platform account and link it back to your original EA Account, you may be able to get your stuff back if you still can access the account.

I feel like that's not the reason. I believe its to force people to spend money to re-buy the games they already own. Very scummy practice.

  • Yep, especially when its so easy to connect xbox game pass to the incorrect EA account

Hey there, please note that you must have access to both accounts in order to link a platform account to an EA account. If the accounts have been linked and you do not recognize the email on the EA account, you can contact EA Help for assistance.

The EA Help chat is working and available for support. However, please be aware that wait times may be a bit longer than usual due to the recent beta game releases, which have increased the number of incoming requests.

We understand delays can be frustrating, but the support team is actively working through cases, and players are continuing to get assistance

Ya until you try and login a few times and get set to the "not supported by advisor" this must be how they cut down on the high help volume. for any issue you type in It will say not supported. EA sucks. Microsoft account shouldn't need to manually link to some some EA account email from 2005 just to play a game.
