(Epic Games) Not Launching through Epic purchase

Bought the game on Epic, linked it with EA clicked play in EA, game does not launch. clicked play in epic, game does not launch. meanwhile my steam copy works just fine.

    Hey @ComradeRichie80 

    Thanks for getting back to use, sorry to hear we couldn't look into this further. 

    We might be running into an issue with the game launch from Epic and handing over to the EA app. If you do ever try to play it on the Epic Launcher again and run into issues let us know and we can try to take a further look from there.

Hey @ComradeRichie80 

Thanks for this information, Not seeing anything specific that should cause it not launch. 

Can you try running the Epic and EA app launchers as admins then running the game?

If this continues can you check the following, I'm not sure why the Epic only version would be causing this. 

  • Are you having issues with any other Epic Games launching currently?  
  • Do you over or under clock your hardware at all?
  • Do you use perihperial software (like mouse or keyboard software to control their RGB)?
  • Do you have the game installed on your C driver or another storage drive? (if so, is it an SSD or HDD drive)
    • Can you check if you have full permissions to the storage drive it is on, and you don't have anything like an Anti-virus blocking it's launch. 
  • Do you have anything else running when you attempt to launch ToK: Zau?
    • If so, can you close anything else running and check if this changes anything?

    its none of those issues i have many games on epic that link to other services, the only issue is when launching Zau and EA opens. you know what nevermid, i'll just play on steam and never buy an EA title on epic again.
