Re: Can't Install/Launch Wild Heart

Hello @YT_IcyPoint,

I understand that this is frustrating! What do you mean when you say you cannot reinstall the game, aka, in what way is it not reinstallable? Is the installation button greyed out? Or does it tell you, that you have to buy it?

First would try the app recovery in the EA app, and then see if the game can be installed again.

    Hello @YT_IcyPoint,

did you try the app recovery?

You could try a clean boot, to see if maybe some program is interfering with the game.

If that didn't work, I would recommend reinstalling the EA app, as it looks like it potentially might have to do with the App itself rather than the installation of the game.

    Hello @YT_IcyPoint,

have you tried the clean boot?

And it might be a hassle to also have to redownload Apex after, but I would recommend trying deinstalling the app anyway, if it doesn't work, as this could fix the game that you're currently having problems with.

    Hello @YT_IcyPoint,

could you try these solutions? You can also find them in this thread.

Uninstall EA App, Wild Heart and Steam, create a new administrator account and reinstall EA App, Wild Heart and Steam. After you uninstall EA App, just to be on the safe side, remember to go to the root folder (mine is at C: Program Files/ Electronic Arts) and delete the whole empty EA folder.

To create a new administrator account on your PC (Win 11), go to Start--Right click on your avatar--Change account settings--Family & other users--Other users (you may try "your family" but I prefer "other users")--Add someone else to this PC--Enter a Microsoft email address which is different from your main account--Add the new email address as a new account and make this account as an Administrator.

After creating the new administrator account, log in to this new account and download Steam. Then download and reinstall Wild Hearts through Steam (check the box to create a desktop shortcut for the game).

After the installation, use the shortcut to run Wild Heart. Steam will ask you to download EA App, follow the instructions and install EA App, and the game will continue to run.

Wait for a few seconds and you should be able to see the loading screen of Wild Hearts now.

    Or:

Locate the .exe and turn off Run as Admin and Disable Full Screen Optimization, if you have these on.

The launch Wild Hearts directly from the EA app.

  • i dont understand why we need to go through all of this to fix your problems the game should have been downloaded and work why so many of us suffering from your bad launch
you gotta do everything to make sure we happy with out purchases but instead you expecting us to do your job to play the game i purchased from you which supposed to be working

  • 1st I brought the game thru EA not steam so why do i need to delete steam that makes no sense. Is there a way to get my money back like $90 is a lot for a game i can't even play. I can't wrap my head around this solution you are trying to give me, I been tried the second half and the first half is not even applicable to me. Just give me a refund

    Hello @YT_IcyPoint,

I was looking at your first post, where you were saying other people had the problem with Steam, my apologies. I also realised I didn't link the thread for the first potential solution I gave. The only way to get a refund is if you are eligible for it according to the guidelines here.

Regarding the first solution, even if you don't use Steam, parts of it are still applicable, in the sense that you can try opening a new Windows administrator account on your PC and launching it through that.

You can also try launching the EA app as an administrator, if the new administrator window doesn't work.

Have you tried adding the game as an exception in your antivirus? That could potentially solve the problem as well.
